Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • MRICS chartership in progress or achieved.
  • Experience delivering Quantity Surveying services in a consultancy.
  • Strong knowledge of cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and commercial management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects across sectors.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and client-focused.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial management of construction projects from inception through to completion.
  • Prepare cost plans, estimates, tender documentation, and procurement strategies.
  • Manage contract administration and ensure projects remain within agreed budgets.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, valuations, and final accounts.
  • Provide accurate commercial advice and reporting to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Mentor junior Quantity Surveyors within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, contracts, and best practice.
  • Support business development activities and contribute to securing new opportunities.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and growing construction consultancy in Bristol.

This role offers the chance to lead the commercial delivery of a diverse portfolio of construction projects across multiple sectors, working closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining the highest professional standards.

The successful candidate will play a key role in providing expert cost consultancy services, managing client relationships, mentoring junior team members, and supporting the continued growth of the business. This position would suit an ambitious Quantity Surveyor looking to progress their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking consultancy.

Key Responsibilities
