Join to apply for the Senior Quantity Surveyor role at Kier Construction.

We're seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Transportation team based in Gloucester, supporting the Commercial functions on the A417 missing link road project. A full UK driving licence is mandatory for this role.

Project Details:

• 4 miles of new dual carriageway connecting the A417 Brockworth bypass with the existing A417 south of Cowley.
• A section west of the Air Balloon roundabout following the existing A417 corridor.
• 7 structures including overbridges, underbridges, and underpasses.

Location: Gloucester (some remote working possible)

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 + annual car allowance + private healthcare + benefits

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in controlling costs, maximizing value, minimizing liabilities, and maintaining quality and safety standards across contracts.
2. Provide commercial expertise, including valuations, claims, budget monitoring, and performance data.
3. Support the authorization and submission of project variations and the placement of contracts, subcontracts, and orders.
4. Negotiate with subcontractors to achieve the best value.
5. Implement Kier Group policies, including SHE and risk management.

Requirements:

• Relevant degree or HNC qualification.
• Experience in a similar role within Construction or Highways industry.
• Experience working on major projects for tier 1 contractors.
• NEC contract experience.
