Qualifications

  • Prepare Variation Orders and manage final accounts.
  • Liaise with Project Team and assist on tender works.

Job description

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible, but not limited to, the following:

  • Obtain quotations, liaise, and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Liaising with Project Team / Consultant / Client / Sub-contractors to perform QS works intendedly.
  • Check the main contract document to advise and minimize the main contract risk.
  • Provide SOR/Cost Estimation when required.
  • Procurement sub-contractors / suppliers/specialists, follow up & Formalisation Agreement promptly
  • Responsible for measuring quantities, taking off, and preparing main progress claims, variation claims, and evaluating sub-con variation claims promptly.
  • Prepare Variation Orders, claims, and final accounts,
  • Prepare sub-contracts and sub-contractor/suppliers/specialist payments and settle disputes and final accounts with consultant/client.
  • Assist on tender works may required.
  • Assist project team on VE items
  • All other QS-related assignments

Job Requirement:

  • Degree / Diploma in Building or its equivalent
  • At least 3 years of working experience with building construction, preferred experience in full QS role in A1 Main-con and/or in large Residential Project
  • Familiar with Form of Contract (Redas, SIA, and/or PSSCOC) and SOP Act
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Able to work independently
