Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to lead day-to-day commercial activities across the full project lifecycle. You will handle NEC-based contract administration, subcontractor negotiations, and robust cost reporting to ensure commercial success.

The role requires 2–5 years’ experience in civils/construction, strong numeracy, and excellent communication. You will travel as required and join a team delivering vital UK infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• BSc in Quantity Surveying, business or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent diligence and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and people skills.
• Enthusiasm, commitment and flexibility.

• 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Previous civils/construction experience desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and travel flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Contract administration in line with NEC 3 (Options A, B, C & E).
• Subcontractor negotiations and contract management.
• Payment applications for Client and Subcontractor.
• Forecasting and performance tracking for Client and Subcontractors.
• Project risk management and daily risk reviews.
• Site visits for subcontractor assessments.
• Identify, notify and manage compensation events/variations.
• Create and manage cost-to-complete reporting.
• Deliver budget, cost and change reporting.
• Contribute to Cost Value Reconciliation and Earned Value analyses.

Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day commercial responsibilities of delivering construction and contributing towards success across the full lifecycle of the project:

• Contract administration in line with NEC 3 (Options A, B, C & E)
• Subcontractor negotiations, and contract management.
• Application for payments both Client and Subcontract.
• Forecasting and performance tracking both Client and Subcontractors.
• Project risk management,reviewingday-to-dayproject risks.
• Site visits for sub-contractor assessments
• Identify, notify, and manage compensation events/variations in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Create and manage cost to completes to ensure the business is aware of the project position.
• Deliver accurate and timelybudget, cost, and change reporting.
• Contribute toCost ValueReconciliationandgenerateEarned ValueAnalysisreports,whilst maintaining robust commercial documentation

Qualifications

• BSc in Quantity Surveying, business or a related commercial field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel
