Company Overview:
We are working with a leading civil engineering contractor on a prestigious £200 million project based in Bridgwater. The project is set to run until 2028, providing an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic and committed team.

Role Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor (Civils), you will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of cost management, contract administration, and financial control for the project. Working closely with the project and commercial teams, you will ensure that the project remains on budget while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all financial aspects of the project from inception to completion.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow.
  • Evaluate, manage, and track subcontractor packages.
  • Ensure accurate measurement and valuation of works (both completed and ongoing).
  • Oversee the procurement of materials, goods, and services.
  • Provide financial advice to project managers and senior stakeholders.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of monthly progress valuations.
  • Prepare and submit variations, claims, and final accounts.
  • Conduct risk management, value engineering, and cost reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying, with a strong background in civil engineering projects.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and the ability to interpret contract documents.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
