Salary: £88,000 + £6,000 car package

Our client, a massive Tier 1 main contractor with a significant presence in Kent, is seeking a dynamic and skilled professional to join their team. About the Role:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial expertise and take the lead on key projects, ensuring successful financial and contractual outcomes. You will be responsible for:

1. Leading the commercial management of education sector projects, ensuring cost control and financial success.
2. Delivering accurate and timely commercial reporting to support project delivery.
3. Managing your own projects with a focus on 2-stage tendering.
4. Overseeing and mentoring junior surveyors, ensuring team efficiency and growth.
5. Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
6. Ensuring compliance with company financial and commercial procedures.

The Ideal Candidate:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

1. Proven experience as a Project or Senior Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector.
2. Strong background working on education sector projects.
3. Experience in managing 2-stage tender projects.
4. A HNC/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
5. Membership of RICS or similar professional body (desirable).
6. Proficiency in commercial and financial management systems (e.g., COINS, Sphere, or similar).
7. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
