About the Role:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial expertise and take the lead on key projects, ensuring successful financial and contractual outcomes. You will be responsible for:
- Leading the commercial management of education sector projects, ensuring cost control and financial success.
- Delivering accurate and timely commercial reporting to support project delivery.
- Managing your own projects with a focus on 2-stage tendering.
- Overseeing and mentoring junior surveyors, ensuring team efficiency and growth.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with company financial and commercial procedures.
The Ideal Candidate:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience as a Project or Senior Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector.
- Strong background working on education sector projects.
- Experience in managing 2-stage tender projects.
- A HNC/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
- Membership of RICS or similar professional body (desirable).
- Proficiency in commercial and financial management systems (e.g., COINS, Sphere, or similar).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
