Senior Quantity Surveyor | Data Centre Project Slough

Contract/Freelance or Permanent Options Available

£400-£500/day or £85K-£95K + Benefits

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) to join an exciting Data Centre project in Slough with a leading tier-1 main contractor. This role offers the flexibility to join on a contract/freelance basis due to the urgent nature of the project, but our client will also consider permanent candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the financial aspects of the Data Centre project, ensuring adherence to budget and contract terms.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Lead and other Project Quantity Surveyors to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Assist in cost planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Provide advice on contractual issues, procurement, and risk management.
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress, and proactively address any financial or contractual challenges.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the construction or data centre sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of cost management, contract administration, and procurement processes.
  • Experience working with a team of Project Quantity Surveyors.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CostX, Procore, MS Excel, etc.) is preferred.
