Job description

Due to company expansion, my client is recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. Reporting to the Regional Commercial Director, as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will work on highways infrastructure, S278 works, and civil engineering projects across the UK. The initial contract will be a 1-year highways and infrastructure project in Yoxford, East Suffolk.

Some of the duties include managing contracts to Final Account status, maximizing profitability, and building relationships with clients to encourage repeat business. You will also be involved in maximizing cash flow through managing the debtors’ report, ensuring information is up to date for senior management weekly, and preparing, submitting, and agreeing on final accounts with clients and subcontractors.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven stability as a Senior Quantity Surveyor employed by a UK-based Civil Engineering contractor delivering highways and road infrastructure projects.
• Preferably a degree in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management.
• Extensive knowledge of NEC3 contracts.
• Reside within a commutable distance from Yoxford, East Suffolk due to project locations.
