Job summary

Senior Quantity Surveyor position in Dundee for civil engineering and groundworks contractor. You will own financial and contractual management of civils packages across education and commercial projects, from inception to completion.

Responsibilities include cost control, tender documentation, contract administration, value engineering, subcontractor management, and reporting. Travel to sites and NEC/JCT contract familiarity are expected.

Qualifications

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a similar role within civils or construction.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites as required.

• Managing project costs from inception to completion; preparing and reviewing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.

• Overseeing subcontractor procurement and payments.
• Monitoring project progress and preparing detailed reports.
• Supporting junior QS staff and contributing to team development.

Your new role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the financial and contractual management of civils packages on a range of education and commercial projects. You will be responsible for:

• Managing project costs from inception to completion
• Preparing and reviewing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:
