Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor in Edinburgh? Are you interested in working for a progressive, supportive, and flexible employer? Then keep reading, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! A fantastic consultancy firm in Edinburgh is looking for a dynamic and ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

You will be part of a well-established team, helping to deliver all aspects of quantity surveying from project inception to completion on various projects within the build and real estate sectors, valued up to £50m.

Responsibilities
  • Feasibility estimates, cost planning, contract procurement, tender documentation, value engineering, and commercial awareness.
  • Dispute resolution and post-contract management, including cost reporting.
  • Drive performance standards through expert communication and effective use of performance management processes.
  • Work on projects of diverse scope, analyzing situations and data to evaluate factors and solve problems.
  • Manage projects effectively using systems such as APIC, Pinnacle/ePMP, and other relevant protocols.
  • Develop marketing opportunities and alert Directors and Business Development of potential leads to foster new business development.
Requirements
  • Experience in Cost Planning: Area Schedules, Measurement of Quantities, and entry onto Estimating software; presenting cost plans.
  • Competent in Tender Documentation: BQ/Pricing Schedule Measurement, Preliminaries/Appendices, Team/Project leadership.
  • Experience in Post-Contract Management: Preparation of valuations, final accounts, cost reporting, and change control.
  • Significant experience in the commercial construction market and familiarity with working within a consultancy environment.
  • Degree qualified and Chartered with RICS or similar, or close to becoming chartered.
