Senior Quantity Surveyor - London (Permanent, Full or Part-Time, Hybrid)

Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading UK construction and engineering group, supporting a major project in London. This is a permanent position offering flexible full or part-time hours and hybrid working arrangements.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead procurement and contract administration across complex, high-value projects. Your responsibilities will include supply chain development, tendering, contract negotiation, and cost forecasting. You'll also contribute to main contract reviews and ensure compliance with NEC, IChemE, and JCT forms of contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement processes from pre-qualification to contract execution.
  • Administer contracts, including payments, variations, and forecasting.
  • Negotiate terms and manage claims, variations, and contract close-outs.
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
  • Provide commercial support to project teams and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction or regulated sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, IChemE, and JCT contracts.
  • Degree-qualified; RICS membership preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with COINS, SAP, or Ariba is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel and spend time on-site as required.
