Senior Quantity Surveyor

Description:
We are hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and growing construction company delivering a mix of residential and commercial projects across Northern Ireland and the UK. This is an opportunity for a driven individual who is commercially astute and keen to take ownership of major schemes from pre-construction through to final account.

The Role:

Appoint and negotiate with sub-contractors on projects
Manage sub-contractor packages from appointment through to final account
Take the commercial lead on schemes, including valuations and variations
Submit valuations and variations to clients accurately and timely
Prepare monthly cost reports in line with project budgets
Build strong working relationships with Contracts Managers and Site Teams
Identify and resolve cost-related issues efficiently
Mentor junior Quantity Surveyors within your project team
Undertake additional duties as required

The Person:

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
Minimum of 10 yearspost-grad experience, ideally within residential and commercial construction
Confident in estimating, pricing variations and contract negotiation
Knowledgeable in JCT/NEC/PWC forms of contract
Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills
UK travel required bi-weekly and UK Driving Licence
