Overview

Senior Quantity Surveyor — Remote (UK). Up to £75,000, benefits and bonus.

Responsibilities
  • Providing expert commercial advice and support across multiple complex projects
  • Leading on cost control, budgets, valuations, applications for payment and contract compliance
  • Advising on design changes, risk management and change control processes
  • Preparing and presenting monthly commercial and performance reports
  • Supporting tender preparation, contract negotiations and dispute resolution
  • Mentoring and developing Quantity Surveyors and Assistant QSs within the team
What we're looking for / Qualifications
  • Degree/HNC in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
  • 5 years' experience as an SQS (ideally in the social housing sector)
  • Strong commercial and design management knowledge
  • Background in social housing maintenance contracts is essential
  • Confident communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Desirable: reactive/planned maintenance, decarbonisation/retrofit projects, and knowledge of NEC/JCT/TAC contracts
