Senior Quantity Surveyor – Major Projects

Location: Chichester

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 + Package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering landmark projects across the South. With live and upcoming schemes ranging from £50m to £100m, this role offers the chance to be part of high-profile, technically challenging builds from start to finish.

Role Overview:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of commercial responsibilities on major projects, working closely with operational teams and reporting directly to the Commercial Manager. You'll ensure accurate cost control, reporting, subcontractor management, and commercial forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full cost control and reporting across major projects
• Subcontract procurement and package management
• Preparation of valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Management of commercial risk and opportunity
• Working closely with site teams and senior leadership

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a main contractor
• Background in large-scale commercial or mixed-use construction projects
• Strong contractual knowledge (NEC/JCT)
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and team leadership skills
• Ambition to progress into senior commercial leadership
