Job description

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Carlisle, Cumbria
Salary: £55,000 to £68,000 + car/allowance & package


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a major refurbishment and upgrade programme to a substation near Carlisle. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a site-based team and play a key role in delivering this important project which aims to improve the capacity of the existing facility.


Responsibilities
  1. Overseeing all costs relating to the project
  2. Ensuring the project is being delivered within budget
  3. Providing accurate commercial and contractual advice to the project team
  4. Preparing all tender and contract documents
  5. Identifying and managing commercial risks across the project
  6. Managing subcontractor procurement, applications for payment and negotiation of final accounts

Requirements
  1. Previous experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a major infrastructure project
  2. Previous experience using the NEC suite of contracts
  3. Excellent communication skills
