Job summary

AWC Staff Services invites a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s Civil Engineering division based in Bury St Edmunds. You will manage commercial activities across energy transmission projects, ensuring cost control, procurement, and contract administration are executed to the highest standards.

Ideal candidates will bring NEC3/4 experience, familiarity with Options A, C, and E, and a track record of working with both contractors and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC3/4 contracts and commercial management on multidiscipline projects.
• Experience working as both contractor and subcontractor.
• Experience raising EW's, CEQ's and CE's and handling progress reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cost management, procurement, and contract administration for civil engineering projects.
• Draft and submit monthly applications for payment and supporting schedules.
• Prepare project forecasts and cash-flow projections.
• Attend Monthly Progress meetings and communicate with clients and stakeholders.
• Provide commercial assurance and support to PMs, liaising with contractors and subcontractors.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor in our client's team, you'll have the chance to work on a diverse range of projects with leading clients in the energy transmission industry. Leveraging your expertise in cost management, procurement, and contract administration, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of high-profile infrastructure projects across the region.

Ideally candidates will have:

• Experience with NEC3/4
• Experience with Options A,C and E
• experience working as both contractor and subcontractor
• Raising EW's, CEQ's and CE's
• Supporting PM's from a commercial perspective
• drafting monthly applications for payment
• Drafting project forecasts
• Attending Monthly Progress meetings

We are looking for someone who is use to dealing with all commercial aspects of a project and is happy with client facing discussions. Energy, OHL or Electrical Transmission Industry experience preferred by not essential.
