Job summary

ERSG Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for an infrastructure project in the South West on a freelance contract. You will lead commercial management, oversee procurement, valuations, variations, claims and final accounts, and work closely with project teams.

The role requires a strong background in infrastructure/utility/civil energy projects, a solid grasp of NEC contracts, and excellent forecasting and cost reporting abilities.

Qualifications

• Background in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management.
• Experience in infrastructure, utilities, civil engineering or energy projects.
• Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
• Excellent forecasting and cost reporting experience.
• Experience managing subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final account.
• Ability to work collaboratively within project teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial delivery of a major infrastructure project.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Monitor commercial risk and maintain project risk registers.
• Administer compensation events and identify commercial opportunities.

I'm currently supporting a leading infrastructure contractor with an urgent requirement for an experienced Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major project in the South West.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure programme, taking ownership of commercial management across project delivery while working alongside experienced operational and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:
