Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Winchester. The business specializes in off-site construction methods and undertakes projects across the high-rise residential, student accommodation, and hospitality sectors, valuing up to 20 million. Projects are administered via JCT forms of contract.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing projects from the early procurement stage through to the project lifecycle. You will report directly to the Operations Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage packages from the earliest procurement stage to final account
  • Handle variations and valuations for the client
  • Mentor and support junior commercial staff
  • Conduct monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVRs)
Requirements:
  • HNC or Construction-related degree (e.g., Quantity Surveying or Construction Management)
  • Experience managing projects and teams as a main contractor
  • Experience administering JCT forms of contract (NEC experience is beneficial but not essential)
  • Live within a commutable distance to Guildford and be willing to commute
