The Role

We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of our high-end residential projects. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing all cost management and financial control across multiple luxury projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

You will manage the full lifecycle of project costs, from initial cost planning and estimates to final account settlements. This is a strategic role that requires strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and support junior quantity surveyors, contributing to the ongoing development of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the commercial management across all assigned schemes, ensuring financial integrity and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Proactively manage and monitor the integrated in-house delivery model to drive operational efficiency and maximise profitability.
  • Diligently identify, assess, and manage contractual and commercial risks and opportunities, safeguarding project success.
  • Lead the procurement of subcontractor packages and materials where required, ensuring best value, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Work closely with the Project and Site Managers to ensure contracts are accurately administered and all project obligations are fulfilled.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise monthly commercial reports to provide visibility on financial performance and forecast outcomes.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working under JCT and Design & Build contract forms
  • A background in super-prime residential construction projects
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field
  • Professional accreditation (e.g. RICS, CIOB) (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with Procore or similar project management software
