AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Midlands team, based in Birmingham. You will work on a broad mix of high-value infrastructure projects, collaborating with clients and supply chains to deliver robust commercial solutions.

The role requires experience with major programmes, NEC/JCT/FIDIC contracts and strong leadership, communication, and business development skills. Flexible, hybrid working and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in major programmes and complex infrastructure.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
• RICS or working towards membership preferred.
• Experience with NEC, JCT, FIDIC contracts and advising clients on applications.
• Client-facing role with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex solutions.
• Business development and bid-writing experience desired.

Your role

• We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Midlands team, based in Birmingham. You will work across a wide range of projects supporting clients on complex and high-value programmes.
• Working with clients across the public and private sector, you will use your skills – technical and others – to share your knowledge, expertise, and experience, and ultimately to deliver fantastic services.
• You will work collaboratively with our clients and their supply chain partners to develop/deliver solutions to complex and dynamic problems.
• The successful candidate will have a passion to work with our national infrastructure clients operating with a growth mindset to build relationships with our key clients.
• This role requires you to pull on your commercial and procurement expertise to advise and help deliver a wide range of commercial, procurement and supply chain requirements, all whilst focusing on ensuring maximum value within the supply chain eco‑system for our clients.
• The ideal candidate, is a team player, has growing leadership qualities and possess the softer consulting skillset required to thrive in a client environment.

About you

• A Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in major programmes and complex infrastructure within, construction, engineering, manufacturing, oil and gas or UK Public Sector organisation.
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial/construction discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience gained through practice.
• Member of, or working towards Membership of, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or an equivalent recognised body.
• Has experience with construction contracts such as NEC, JCT, FIDIC and can confidently produce and advise clients on their application.
• Has the ability to work in a client facing environment, alongside multidisciplinary teams of colleagues, clients and partners to deliver solutions to complex client or industry challenges.
• Has strong communication and stakeholder management experience, with the ability to engage across complex stakeholder environments, utilising a range of informative communication tools to support buy-in across the organisation.
• Has the ability and willingness to develop technical and consulting skills in order to deliver excellent service to our clients, representing the AtkinsRéalis brand to their best of their ability.
• Has business development and win-work experience, such as bid writing, pre-contract engagement, client relationship management.
