Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Birmingham is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support our Midlands team on a range of complex infrastructure programmes. You will work with clients and supply chain partners to develop and deliver commercial solutions that maximise value.

You will apply your experience with NEC, JCT or FIDIC contracts, build relationships across multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to bid work and client engagement in a flexible, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience on major programmes and complex infrastructure.
• Membership of, or working towards Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
• Experience with NEC, JCT, FIDIC contracts.

Your role

We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Midlands team, based in Birmingham. You will work across a wide range of projects supporting clients on complex and high-value programmes.

Working with clients across the public and private sector, you will use your skills - technical and others - to share your knowledge, expertise, and experience, and ultimately to deliver fantastic services.

You will work collaboratively with our clients and their supply chain partners to develop/deliver solutions to complex and dynamic problems.

The successful candidate will have a passion to work with our national infrastructure clients operating with a growth mindset to build relationships with our key clients.

This role requires you to pull on your commercial and procurement expertise to advise and help deliver a wide range of commercial, procurement and supply chain requirements, all whilst focusing on ensuring maximum value within the supply chain eco‑system for our clients.

The ideal candidate, is a team player, has growing leadership qualities and possess the softer consulting skillset required to thrive in a client environment.

About you

A Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in major programmes and complex infrastructure within, construction, engineering, manufacturing, oil and gas or UK Public Sector organisation.

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial/construction discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience gained through practice.

Member of, or working towards Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors ( RICS) or an equivalent recognised body.

Has experience with construction contracts such as NEC, JCT, FIDIC and can confidently produce and advise clients on their application.

Has the ability to work in a client facing environment, alongside multidisciplinary teams of colleagues, clients and partners to deliver solutions to complex client or industry challenges.

Has strong communication and stakeholder management experience, with the ability to engage across complex stakeholder environments, utilising a range of informative communication tools to support buy-in across the organisation.

Has the ability and willingness to develop technical and consulting skills in order to deliver excellent service to our clients, representing the AtkinsRéalis brand to their best of their ability.

Has business development and win-work experience, such as bid writing, pre-contract engagement, client relationship management.
