Description and requirements

Our client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their Ground Engineering team for complex projects with Cementation. This key role involves carrying out all commercial and contractual activities in the delivery of piling and ground engineering projects, working with various clients and contract forms.

You will be an active member of the project/business stream team, providing support, advice, and managing all commercial and contract duties to ensure discipline and governance are maintained.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and agreeing contract terms and conditions, ensuring legal and CSL governance compliance.
• Administering a range of contract forms, including NEC and JCT, and understanding bespoke/non-standard forms.
• Reviewing proposed contracts, negotiating acceptable terms, and liaising with external parties.
• Managing full commercial and contract administration from tender to final account, including post-completion duties.
• Performing cost and value reconciliation, end-life forecasting, and risk management.
• Implementing commercial and contract governance and providing support and training to site staff.
• Handling third-party interactions (insurance, audits, etc.).
• Having comprehensive commercial and contract experience, especially with piling and main contracting.
• Possessing a BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or related field; RICS accreditation preferred.
