Job summary

Advance TRS is recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a major electricity network framework across the South of England. A Senior Quantity Surveyor - Utilities is sought for a permanent role based in Andover, Wiltshire, with travel across the wider region and a mix of on-site and office work.

You will manage commercial delivery on NEC Option A contracts, run CVRs and changes, and work closely with subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience, ideally with main contractor background.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Comfort at the coal face managing subcontractors directly.
• Desire to work towards or continue chartership (supported by the business).

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial delivery across live NEC Option A contracts.
• Run cost value reconciliations (CVRs) and manage compensation events/change under NEC.
• Work closely with subcontractors on-site.
• Support a business still building out its processes, with input into how things are done.

You'll join a growing commercial team delivering electrical infrastructure upgrades under a major utilities framework.

Advance TRS is recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a major electricity network framework across the South of England — a fixed-price NEC Option A framework covering feasibility, design, and construction, with around 90 live contracts ranging from £50k to £15m.

The business was recently carved out from a larger group under private equity ownership and is still shaping its processes — so you'll have real scope to make your mark early.

What you'll be doing:

• You'll manage commercial delivery across live NEC Option A contracts
• You'll run cost value reconciliations (CVRs) and manage compensation events/change under NEC
• You'll work closely with subcontractors on-site — this won't be a back-office role
• You'll support a business still building out its processes, with genuine input into how things are done

What you'll bring:

• 10+ years' experience, ideally with main contractor background
• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
• Comfort at the coal face managing subcontractors directly, not purely consultancy-side
