Job Description:

The Central Liquidity Strategies (CLS) business manages portfolios and products to optimize trading and execution by providing internal liquidity solutions for portfolio managers on both a risk and agency basis.

We seek a highly driven, results-oriented Senior Quantitative Developer with a strong background in building trading algorithms and a deep understanding of market microstructure and execution strategies to develop a new internal algorithmic trading platform. This role requires technical expertise, industry knowledge, and leadership skills to develop and optimize trading algorithms aligned with trading objectives.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Algorithm Development: Develop custom trading algorithms for targeted execution outcomes, creating a framework that uses internal signals and supports broader team use, independently or collaboratively.
  • Simulation: Build simulators using market data and trade history to evaluate algorithm efficacy.
  • Collaboration with Quant Analysts: Partner with research analysts to productionize market microstructure and short-term signal models.
  • Performance Evaluation: Develop reports with benchmarks to assess algorithm performance.
  • Monitoring Tools: Create intraday and post-trade monitoring tools for algorithm performance troubleshooting.
Qualifications/Skills Required
  • 10+ years relevant experience in trading and finance.
  • Expertise in market microstructure of cash equities; knowledge of liquid futures is a bonus.
  • Hands-on development experience in event-driven, real-time trading, proficiency in C++ preferred; Java skills with performance optimization acceptable.
  • Experience with trade and market data coding.
  • Leadership experience as a development lead, mentoring junior developers.
  • Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Biochemistry, applied math, or statistics.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ or Java, focus on real-time trading processes.
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities under high pressure.
  • Team-oriented with collaborative skills.

The estimated base salary range is $160,000 to $250,000, plus discretionary bonuses and benefits. Final compensation depends on experience and qualifications.
