Job summary

Eaton's South Molton plant in Devon, UK is seeking a dedicated Product Safety and Quality professional to lead SMS and QA activities. You will coordinate risk management, investigations, and safety promotion while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer expectations.

You will mentor Quality Engineers, support audits with the CAA, and drive continuous improvement of processes from design through launch for aerospace components.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred in engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of ISO9001, CAA Part 21G, AS9100 quality standards.
• Experience leading safety and quality teams in aerospace.
• Strong problem-solving using Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis.
• Experience with safety management systems (SMS) and regulatory audits.

Responsibilities

• Act as focal point for Product Safety reporting and risk management.
• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of QMS and SMS.
• Host Safety Review Boards (SRB) and Safety Action Groups (SAG).
• Produce safety performance reports for senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with CAA Part 21G regulations and safety standards.
• Support regulatory and customer audits.
• Deliver SMS training and promote Just Culture.
