Job description

We are representing a Fortune 500 Industrial Manufacturing company who is actively seeking a Senior Quality Manager due to a divisional transfer. The Senior Quality Manager will report directly to the General Manager with a strong dotted line to the NA Quality Director who is looking to begin the interview process ASAP!

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Candidate will report to the VP/General Manager while leading a department of (6) Engineers while having a strong dotted line relationship with the Divisional Director of Quality.
• Complete financial/budgetary ownership of department
• Candidate will assume ownership over both the plant quality function while working cross functionally with different departments
• Provide direction and leadership consistent with company and business plan goals.
• Maintain and develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors
• Direct and drive the utilization of problem solving methods for related plant and customer issues.
• Work closely with plant staff to development HI-POT talent
• Responsible for improving process efficiency through best practices, SOPs, and lean manufacturing.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors Degree is required for consideration (preference for technical field)
• Candidate should have strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100
• Candidate should have at least 5 years of Quality Management experience within highly regulated environment
• Experience in Metals environment
