Senior Quality Manager - Aldermaston, Berkshire, RG7 4PR

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: Starting from £60,400 + Benefits

Location: RG7 4PR, between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking

Package: Salary starting from £60,400 (depending on suitability, qualifications, and experience)

Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. Primarily on-site work.

Flexible working is available with some limitations due to business needs.

Role Overview

AWE is recruiting a Senior Quality Manager to lead Quality performance, improve processes, and develop staff, with a focus on engagement and performance metrics.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will:

1. Manage scheduled quality workloads through proactive engagement within their Business Unit.
2. Prepare and review technical, commercial, or scientific deliverables related to Quality.
3. Provide strategic leadership to enhance quality skills and capabilities supporting current and future work.
4. Act as the Quality SME for cross-functional activities.
5. Offer technical review and guidance to support stakeholders internally and externally.
6. Maintain high standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality.

Desirable Experience

Experience in:

• Regulatory & Compliance: Ensuring compliance and translating regulations into procedures.
• QMS Oversight: Implementing and improving Quality Management Systems.
• Root Cause Analysis & CAPA: Leading investigations and embedding lessons learned.
• Quality Culture & Leadership: Driving First Time Quality and safety culture.
• Operational Quality Integration, Data-Driven Decision Making, Risk Management, Change Management, Talent Development & Team Leadership, Stakeholder Engagement.
