Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Sensors Division in Christchurch, Dorset is seeking a Senior Quality Inspector to join a small quality team, inspecting materials, parts and finished builds to ensure customer specifications and industry standards.

You will use CMMs, Vici Vision and Keyence, produce FAIRs, and liaise with customers and supply chain to resolve issues, with focus on ISO 9001/AS9100 compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a quality role within an engineering/manufacturing industry.
• Good understanding of quality assurance and ISO 9001/AS9100.
• Working knowledge of CMMs, Vici Vision, Keyence and other handheld inspection equipment.
• Competent use of PC.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to read and understand technical engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out inspections of materials, parts and finished build inspections.
• Performing routine inspections and checking for defects in accordance with the Company’s procedures.
• Using measuring equipment including CMMs, Vici Vision, Keyence to measure to a high level of accuracy and precision.
• Producing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), internally and externally.
• Liaising with customers and the supply chain on any issues and working to solve them.
• Support and help manage workloads for production needs, engineering needs and various investigations including MSA & Statistical Analysis studies and complying of SPC data to improve supplier quality.
