Our client, a leader in the defence industry, is currently seeking a Senior Quality Inspector with a focus on Radiography to join their team in Barrow on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting radiographic inspections of pipework to ensure quality and integrity
• Completing paper reports for the signing off of welds
• Passing on knowledge and expertise to junior staff members
• Working on a shift basis with 12-hour shifts, including daytime and night-time work
• Inspecting components related to nuclear or piping work

Job Requirements:

• PCN Level 2 in radiography for welds
• Experience in DPI (Dye Penetrant Inspection) or PT (Penetrant Testing) of welds
• Advanced radiation safety training
• Basic radiation safety knowledge
• Mechanical background with an understanding of NDTs (Non-Destructive Tests)
• Proficiency with IT tools, including Microsoft Office, SAP, and Teamcenter
• Experience in industries such as aerospace, nuclear, or oil & gas
• Duration: 12 months
• Shift basis: 3 on 4 off, 7 on 7 off in nights
• Day and Night shifts available
• Full onsite requirements
