About the role

Our client, a fast-paced volume manufacturing business in West Yorkshire, seeks to appoint a Senior Quality Engineer with experience in Lean/Six Sigma, ISO9001 and supplier quality!

The successful engineer will drive improvements throughout the company by identifying and then eliminating process defects and variations using problem-solving and statistical analysis techniques.

You will have a big input into supplier quality and be capable of leading a small team.

Your Role and Responsibilities:
– Plan and monitor quality activities for a small team of quality engineers and quality inspectors
– Support the Quality Manager to complete assigned projects and maintain/reinforce improvements until they become standard practice
– Liaise with Production leaders to ensure products are completed on time and to the appropriate quality standards
– Perform system and process audits in line with department objectives
– Take a key role in supplier quality

Your Skills and Experience:
– Experience within a fast-paced volume manufacturing plant
– Knowledge of ISO9001
– Familiar with APQP, PPAP and FMEA techniques
– Expose to Lean/Six Sigma methodology
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
