WHAT TO EXPECT

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be a subject matter expert and coach for ensuring robust engineering design through JLR's Product Development Process with a focus on Through Life (Diagnostics, Service Strategy, Fault Presentations, Prognostics, End of Life Decommissioning). Your role will be to join the Engineering Excellence team to support our Engineering Quality strategy to become the automotive industry leader by setting benchmarks in Quality, Satisfaction, and Reliability through sustainable and innovative luxury products.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Own the “Through Life” element of the Engineering Excellence Framework Development with a focus on Quality of Event
• Coach and mentor individuals or teams on tools and application on both upcoming and existing projects, encouraging best practice for serviceability checks & tooling checks to be fed back into product designs
• Lead transformation projects to improve Through Life processes across Product Engineering
• Implement Prevent Recurrence measures and Lessons Learned
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Product Engineering experience in a large multinational organization
• Increasing responsibility in various Product Engineering environments focused on complex electro-mechanical-software integrated product architectures used in the automotive industry
• Supporting Product Development projects from concept to launch
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
