Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to strengthen the Quality Engineering foundation across our SDK teams. You’ll help build confidence in the quality, reliability, and delivery of SDK solutions across Linux and Windows, across multiple platforms, with automation, CI/CD, tooling, and test strategy.

You’ll work with cross‑functional SDK teams to understand quality risks and turn broad goals into practical engineering work.

Qualifications

• Strong practical Python skills for automation, tooling, diagnostics, or quality workflows.
• Experience building or improving CI/CD, build, test, release, or deployment automation (Jenkins/Groovy or equivalent).
• Experience developing or improving automated tests, test frameworks, or quality tooling.
• A testing mindset with ability to identify risk, failure modes, and design practical approaches.

Responsibilities

• Building and improving CI/CD pipelines that support SDK build, test, validation, and release workflows.
• Developing Python-based automation and tooling for test orchestration, system validation, diagnostics, reporting, and quality visibility.
• Creating, maintaining, and improving automated tests across unit, integration, system, and end-to-end levels.
• Applying a testing mindset to engineering problems, including identifying risks and improving observability.
• Helping teams bake quality into solutions early by influencing design, implementation, testability, diagnostics, and release confidence.
• Investigating issues across build, test, deployment, and execution environments to improve workflows.
• Supporting Linux and Windows development environments, including cross-platform scripting and debugging.
• Using test frameworks, quality metrics, and reporting to improve quality visibility and strategy.
• Working with SDK teams to clarify risks and drive actionable engineering work.
• Identifying bottlenecks and gaps, then driving pragmatic improvements with teams.
