Leonardo UK Ltd in Edinburgh is seeking a Principal Quality Engineer to drive compliance and quality across the product lifecycle in a hybrid role, requiring three onsite days per week. You will lead assurance activities, support bids, and guide IPT teams to successful project delivery.

The role emphasizes leadership on risk, RCCA expertise, and ensuring adherence to AS9100/AS9145 within an aerospace/defence context. A strong quality background and supervisory experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with AS9100/AS9145 or similar aerospace quality standards.
• Senior quality experience in regulated industries (A&D preferred).
• Supervisory experience leading assurance teams or projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company processes and regulatory standards.
• Be an integral IPT member supporting project success and timely delivery.
• Provide quality assurance input for bids, proposals, and PAP maintenance.
• Lead mitigation of IPT risks and opportunities with the IPT Peer Group.
• Manage internal assessments with IPT leads and close findings.
• Analyze information to support escalation and correct decision-making for IPT well-being.
• Deputise for the Quality Manager when needed.
• Lead non-conformance and corrective action across the supply chain.
• Conduct project assessments and audits against approved plans.
• Mentor junior assurance team members and drive KPI targets.
