Role: Senior Quality Engineer

Salary: GBP 45,000 : GBP 55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Type: Permanent

Location: Reading

My client is a specialist manufacturer within Aerospace and Defence. They are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join their team in Reading on a permanent basis.

The Quality Engineer Will Ideally Have The Following Attributes

: Proven experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment

: Relevant qualifications in Engineering or Quality Management (BEng, HND, CQI, etc.)

: Experience in Defence / Space / Aerospace or similar industries would also be beneficial

: In:depth knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and problem:solving tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis)

: Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and continuous improvement methodologies

: Strong analytical and problem:solving skills

: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

: Attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing quality issues

The Quality Engineer Role Will Involve

: Conducting quality audits and ensuring compliance with industry standards

: Investigating and resolving quality issues and non:conformances

: Collaborating with production teams to improve quality processes and reduce defects

: Performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions

: Managing the quality management system (QMS) and maintaining accurate documentation

: Providing training and guidance to staff on quality standards and procedures

: Liaising with customers and suppliers to address quality:related concerns

: Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality
