Job summary

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a highly experienced Quality and Contracts Manager to lead a team responsible for the quality, performance and contractual compliance of commissioned care and support providers. You will manage complex provider relationships, drive improvements and ensure value for money in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within commissioning, contract management or quality assurance in health and social care.
• Experience managing teams and supporting staff performance and development.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to interpret performance and financial information to support recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Council's approach to provider contract management, ensuring contractual obligations and quality standards are met.
• Manage complex provider performance and contractual issues with effective risk management.
• Lead conversations with providers and stakeholders on quality, performance, and value for money concerns.
• Oversee a team of Quality Officers and prioritise work to manage risks.
• Coordinate contract management, quality monitoring and improvement activities across providers.
• Lead or support provider reviews, investigations and improvement programmes.
• Analyse performance and market intelligence to identify trends and opportunities.
• Build partnerships with providers, health colleagues and regulators.
• Contribute to market development and commissioning initiatives.
• Deputise for senior leadership when required.
