Job description

Job title: Senior Quality Auditor-Assurance

Location: Warton. We offer a range of flexible working arrangements. Please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £47,683 – £52,426 dependant on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensuring operational compliance to regulatory standards e.g. Part 145 / Part M / Aerodrome
  • Driving and supporting a reduction in non-conformance management with a zero-defect mindset
  • Supporting resolution of quality issues, using root cause analysis tools such as RCCA, 5 Whys, DMAIC, 8D, Six Sigma
  • Undertaking the identification and implementation of quality improvement activities
  • Undertaking reviews and reporting on the efficiency and effectiveness of quality practices ensuring they are understood and effectively deployed
  • The ability to influence key stakeholders to ensure the correct Quality practices are followed building strong relationships and influencing others

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • Quality or Engineering experience in a maintenance setting
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Previous experience of Utilisation of Quality Assurance Toolsets

Desirable:

  • Aircraft maintenance experience
  • Experience of using toolsets such as BSI connect, ESS, Jira, Tableau
  • Experience dealing with internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of Regulatory articles RA4800/4900 series and aerodrome regulations

The Quality Assurance Team

BAE Systems Air has an unrivalled track record and expertise in the development, delivery and support of military air platforms, components and technologies through Typhoon, F-35 Lightning II, Tornado and Hawk. As a Quality Auditor you will be delivering a broad range of planned quality assurance activities designed to provide assurance to management that quality practices are being effectively deployed across various business areas. This will involve working closely with our Operations and Engineering teams to ensure that the maintenance we carry out meets customer and regulatory requirements. Ensuring Quality Standards are maintained to the satisfaction of internal and external customers. Undertake review and reporting on the efficiency and effectiveness of quality practices across the business area. Provide guidance, advice and support on all quality related matters. This role will provide you with the opportunity to train and progress your career within the Quality function.
