Job summary

Sigma Recruitment Ltd. is looking for a Senior QA Auditor in the UK to act as the senior technical lead within the Quality Management System. You will own key parts of the QMS, conduct investigations, and drive CAPA activities across the site.

You’ll support a robust audit programme, host customer audits, and mentor junior QA colleagues while ensuring compliance with EU GMP and quality standards. The role offers flexitime and a clear route to QA Manager.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in a scientific discipline.
• Solid experience in a regulated QA environment (pharmaceutical, food, or similar) with knowledge of EU GMP.
• Proven experience leading investigations, audits or customer-facing QA work.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into deviations, non-conformances and complaints, driving root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Write, review and approve SOPs, controlled forms and quality records.
• Lead the internal audit programme and keep the site audit-ready.
• Host customer audits and quality meetings as the main QA contact for accounts.
• Mentor junior QA colleagues and use QA metrics to drive improvement.

Your salary, benefits & hours of work

• Up to 40,000 depending on experience
• Annual Profit Related Bonus Scheme
• Flexitime: start any time between 7:30am and 9:30am, finish between 3:30pm and 5:30pm, working eight hours a day
• Monday to Friday, with no weekend or bank holiday working
• Shutdown from Christmas to the New Year
• Holidays: 24 days plus 8 bank holidays, increasing with length of service (one extra day for every 5 years, to a maximum of 25 years)

What you'll do as the Senior QA Auditor

Reporting to the QA Manager, you'll be the team's senior technical lead. You'll own key parts of the Quality Management System.

• Lead investigations into deviations, non-conformances and complaints, driving root cause analysis and CAPA
• Write, review and approve SOPs, controlled forms, logbooks and quality risk assessments
• Lead the internal audit programme and keep the site audit-ready
• Host customer audits and quality meetings as the main QA contact for your accounts
• Manage Export Health Certificate applications for products of animal origin, working with veterinary inspectors
• Mentor junior QA colleagues and use QA metrics to drive continuous improvement
