Job summary

Sigma Recruitment is seeking a QA Officer in Wales for a role that balances flexible working hours with robust quality oversight. You will lead the QA department operations, ensure GMP compliance, and drive continuous improvement across investigations, CAPA and supplier approvals.

The position offers flexitime, a profit-related bonus scheme, and a generous holiday entitlement with 24 days plus eight bank holidays, increasing with length of service.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a scientific or technical discipline.
• Experience in a Quality role within a pharmaceutical or food environment.
• Working knowledge of quality management systems and GMP.

Responsibilities

• Manage investigations, including root cause, product impact and CAPA.
• Handle customer complaints and customer regulatory questions.
• Take part in the internal audit programme and support regulatory inspections.
• Approve suppliers and starting materials using a risk-based approach.
• Prepare, approve and distribute SOPs, policies and other master GMP documents.
• Arrange export certificates and traceability for products of animal origin.

Your salary, benefits & hours of work

• Up to £32,000 depending on experience


• Flexitime: start any time between 7:30am and 9:30am, finish between 3:30pm and 5:30pm, working eight hours a day


• Annual Profit Related Bonus Scheme


• Holidays 24 days plus 8 Bank Holidays (increasing with length of service - one extra day for every 5 years to a maximum of 25 years)

What you'll do as the QA Officer
