Bamford Contract Services Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our groundworks and civil engineering team around Leeds. This hands-on role involves pre-construction through final account, close collaboration with site delivery and operations to drive commercial success.

We offer a genuine long-term opportunity with regular site visits and close interaction with directors on live projects with values from £500k to £3m.

Qualifications

• Has strong groundworks/civils experience (10+ years).
• Enjoys live project involvement and site-facing decision making.
• Is commercially sharp yet practical in approach.

Responsibilities

• Managing multiple groundwork packages.
• Cost reporting and commercial management.
• Variations and valuations.
• Subcontractor procurement and management.
• Client meetings and commercial discussions.
• Supporting operational teams onsite.
• Working closely with directors and project delivery teams.
