Job summary

HARBRON RECRUIT LIMITED is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for groundworks and civils to take full ownership of commercial performance on live projects in the South West. You will report to the commercial lead and shape commercial systems as the business grows.

Ideal candidates will have substantial Senior QS experience in groundworks/civils or housebuilder subcontracting, with JCT/NEC contract exposure and excellent cost-reporting skills. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

Senior QS with groundworks/civils or housebuilder subcontract experience.
Experience with highways/plot works and NEC/JCT contracts.
Strong Excel skills and ability to produce commercial reports from scratch.
Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Full commercial ownership of live groundworks projects from tender through to final account.
Produce cost plans, estimates and bills of quantities.
Pricing and procuring subcontract packages, plant, labour and materials.
Manage monthly applications, valuations and payment certificates.
Review contract terms; manage variations and compensation events.
Produce monthly CVRs and forecasts.
Settling final accounts and managing retentions.
Resolve commercial disputes early.
