Role: Senior QC Analyst - Pharmaceutical

About the Role

Russell Taylor Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QC Analyst to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing client's Quality Control team. This fully onsite role is predominantly technical, involving analytical chemistry techniques to ensure product quality and compliance. The role also acts as deputy for the QC Manager, providing leadership and guidance in their absence.

Responsibilities

1. Perform analytical testing such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, TLC, and other validated methods.
2. Work in accordance with GMP standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
3. Review and approve analytical data, ensuring accuracy.
4. Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members to maintain high laboratory standards and technical competencies.
5. Deputise for the QC Manager, covering for leave and other times as required.
6. Participate in method transfer, method development, and analytical method validation.
7. Participate in internal and external audits.

The Person

1. Educated to degree level in a Science-related subject such as Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or similar.
2. Previous industrial experience working in a GMP-compliant pharmaceutical QC environment.
3. Hands-on experience with analytical chemistry techniques such as HPLC, GC, etc.
4. Experience in deputising for management and training junior staff.
5. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
7. Previous leadership, supervisory, or deputising experience.
