Job summary

Smart4Sciences is recruiting a Senior QC Analyst to join one of the UK's leading generic pharmaceutical manufacturers. The role focuses on validating and executing analytical methods to support testing and release of materials in a GMP environment.

You will work with HPLC, UPLC, GC and UV techniques, maintain quality documentation, and ensure compliance with GMP, Health & Safety and COSHH, while mentoring junior staff where required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, or related scientific discipline.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated laboratory environment.
• Demonstrable experience in analytical method validation and/or verification.
• Knowledge of HPLC, UPLC, GC and UV techniques.
• Strong GMP, Health & Safety and COSHH understanding.
• Excellent attention to detail and scientific problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Supervisory or mentoring experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute analytical method validation and verification studies.
• Perform routine analysis using HPLC, UPLC, GC and UV.
• Support monitoring of raw materials, components, in-process samples and finished products.
• Prepare validation protocols, reports and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the QC laboratory.
• Assist with laboratory investigations and troubleshooting activities.
