Job description

Insight Employment is seeking a Senior QA Technical Officer for a client in Buckingham.

The role:

As a Senior QA Technical Officer, your mission is to champion product safety, quality, legality, and authenticity across the client's range of products. You will ensure compliance with local UK regulations and the company's global policies.

This is not just a QA role; it's a cross-functional position! You will work closely with Production to embed Quality Procedures, Critical Control Points (CCPs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) into every step of the process.

You will operate in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You need to be agile, proactive, and adaptable to evolving business needs, always prioritizing customer satisfaction and quality.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing QA checks on packing, labelling, and temperature controls to ensure product standards.
  • Monitoring product quality from receipt to delivery with accurate data entry and reporting.
  • Collaborating across departments to uphold food safety and quality standards.
  • Leading root cause analysis on non-conformances and supplier issues.
  • Conducting GMP, hygiene, glass, and plastic audits and following up on issues.
  • Calibrating and maintaining lab equipment.
  • Managing Certificates of Analysis (COAs), Certificates of Compliance (COCs), delivery notes, and allergen records.
  • Recording and analyzing micro sample data to identify patterns.
  • Supporting external audits and customer visits confidently.
  • Assisting with customer complaints and queries to deliver prompt solutions.
  • Managing QA consumables inventory.
  • Supporting production, customer service, and R&D with quality expertise.
  • Driving continuous improvement in quality performance.
  • Maintaining and updating quality systems and training staff.
  • Understanding and fulfilling customer needs, fostering a customer-centric culture.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members and building relationships.
  • Communicating clearly across diverse audiences.
  • Seeking continuous improvement and embracing change.
  • Driving operational excellence through planning and resource management.

Hours:

  • Day shift: 07:30am - 15:00pm
  • Late shift: 15:00pm - Midnight

Rates:

  • Day shift: £12.50/hour
  • Late shift: £13.00/hour
