Job Summary:

The Senior QA Engineer at Assured Data Protection is a key member of the agile development team, responsible for ensuring our software is reliable and minimizes errors and defects. The Senior QA Engineer models best practices in software testing and mentors others in the team. You will have comprehensive knowledge of the software development and testing lifecycle within an Agile environment, ensuring our software meets specified requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Software Testing:
2. Possess excellent knowledge and experience in various testing types.
3. Mentor team members in the software testing lifecycle.
4. Stand in for the QA Lead Engineer when necessary.
5. Lead testing efforts during different stages of development and testing.
6. Analyze Acceptance Criteria and develop high-quality tests accordingly.
7. Provide clear defect reports with reproducible steps.
8. Highlight and escalate risks in the sprint timeline.
9. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
10. Prioritize testing tasks under tight deadlines.

Testing Processes:

1. Identify and suggest improvements to testing processes.
2. Promote Agile practices and Scrum methodologies within the team.
3. Collaborate with the team to define software requirements.

Developer Collaboration:

1. Work closely with developers to ensure timely completion and testing of work.
2. Maintain high software quality through rigorous testing and documentation.
3. Assist in software releases by ensuring thorough testing and risk minimization.
4. Coordinate with Support, Marketing, and Client Services teams to align testing with their needs.

Key Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in diverse software testing roles, preferably in Agile environments.
• Deep understanding of the software development and testing lifecycle, including Agile methodologies.
• Experience with API testing.
• ISTQB Foundation certification.
• Knowledge of Performance Testing, Automation Testing, and Mobile Testing.
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
• Mentoring experience.
• Proficiency in at least one coding language.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools.
• Knowledge of MySQL/SQL databases.
• Familiarity with tools like Postman, Playwright, VSCode, and QualityPlus (nice-to-have).
