Job summary

Babcock International is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Devonport Royal Dockyard in Plymouth. The role focuses on quality assurance, compliance and continuous improvement across submarine support and engineering services in a highly regulated environment.

You will lead audits, advise project teams and drive corrective actions to maintain safety, performance and operational excellence across production, projects and supply chains.

Qualifications

• IRCA Lead Auditor qualification is essential.
• A Level 5 qualification or substantial experience with a Level 4 qualification is required.
• Experience in QA within a nuclear or highly regulated environment is essential.
• Experience conducting product, process and supplier audits is required.
• Experience identifying non-conformances and managing corrective actions is necessary.
• Ability to provide professional QA guidance to project teams, suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product, process and supplier audits to verify quality management system conformance.
• Support QA activities across projects, manufacturing, operations and supply chains.
• Identify quality risks, non-conformances and drive corrective/preventive actions.
• Review quality documentation, specifications and quality records for compliance.
• Provide expert QA advice and assurance to project teams and stakeholders.
