Magnify is the next-generation automation platform for the post-sales experience-- we grow revenue and reduce churn for software companies without adding headcount. Magnify identifies and orchestrates the next-best-step for software companies' users across all their digital customers, growing the 90% of revenue that comes after the initial sale.

Magnify's customers are enterprise software companies, usually used by the Chief Customer Officers and their organizations and/or the Growth Marketing teams.

The Role

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies. Your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Writing test cases.
2. Automating test scripts.
3. Identifying and troubleshooting issues.
4. Ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of performance and functionality before release.
5. Managing release processes and working with the VP of Engineering to define and execute strategic initiatives to ensure product quality and reliability.

This is a contract role with the potential to convert to full time in the future.

Qualifications and Experience

Successful candidates are likely to have the following qualifications and experiences; we strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the items below:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. 5+ years of experience working as a QA or Software Engineer in a high growth, startup environment with a focus on test automation and manual testing.
3. Strong coding skills in one or more programming languages (e.g., TypeScript, Python, JavaScript).
4. Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, or TestNG; CI/CD pipelines; feature flag management; and automated testing.
5. Deep understanding of software testing methodologies (e.g., regression, functional, unit, integration, and scale/performance testing).
6. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to successfully engage across audiences of varying backgrounds and technical proficiencies.
8. Ability and comfort operating with ambiguity in an early stage startup environment in which you may need to 'bootstrap' infrastructure or other resources to complete projects.
9. Passionate about delivering for users and collaborating with teammates.
10. Have a strong bias for action, a track record of moving quickly, and the ability to identify where and when scrappiness is the right approach versus those places where deeper rigor is required.
