About the role:

As the Senior QA Engineer you will lead and champion quality assurance practices across the product development lifecycle. In this role, you will act as a QA expert within the team, owning end-to-end QA activities, from planning to release, to ensure quality is integrated at every stage of development.

Current Technical Environment:

• App tools and languages: Kotlin, Java, Gradle, Rest API, Reactive programming ( LiveData , RxJava ), Dagger

• Testing tools and languages: Appium, Java, TestNG, Zephyr, Android SDK

• Application Architecture: Scalable, resilient, event-driven, secure multi-tenant product integrated with kiosk hardware

• Cloud and DevOps: CI/CD pipelines managed via GitHub Actions

• Monitoring: Sentry, Amplitude, Canopy

• Other tools: Jira, Confluence, Postman, Android Studio

What you will do:

• Lead the QA process for our Android kiosk application, setting high standards for testing practices and product quality

• A lign QA practices with broader enterprise testing strategies to support consistency and scalability across the kiosk product

• Work close ly with engineers, product managers, and designers to define testable requirements and pr oactively prevent defects

• Design and execute manual and automated tests to ensure coverage of critical user journeys and real-world kiosk scenarios including performance, stability, and usability

• Act as a quality advocate within the team, proactively identifying risk areas and defining test strategies early in the development cycle

• Collaborate with Android engineers to ensure t est coverage at the appropriate levels , promoting shared ownership of quality

• I ntegrate and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and efficient test coverage

• Provide mentorship and support to other QA team members, helping to raise the team’s technical and collaborative standards

• Take initiative to identify gaps in tooling, process, or coverage and lead efforts to address them.

• Work alongside support and engineering teams to monitor app quality post-release using logs, crash reports, and user analytics

• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

What we are looking for:

• Around 6+ years of experience in QA, with a strong focus on test automation

• Hands-on experience with Android UI automation tools , such as Espresso and Appium

• Strong experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman or similar frameworks

• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and mobile testing best practices

• Experience testing Android apps in device-constrained environments (e.g. kiosk mode, limited connectivity, hardware dependencies)

• Proven ability to design and maintain robust automated test suites (API, UI, and integration).

• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools and integrating automated tests into pipelines

• Familiarity with performance and/or security testing is a plus

• Comfortable writing test plans and exploratory test scenarios tailored to user behaviour

• Strong collaboration skills ; able to work closely with developers and product team

• P revious experience in working with hardware devices, particularly with kiosks is a plus
