Job description

Liverpool

As a Senior QA Engineer you will help shape delivery of our Computer‑Aided Facility Management (CAFM) SaaS products and our quality processes, adopting AI into our tooling and products.

By automating our testing, you will reduce the burden of manual testing across a wide range of product features, ensuring repeatable quality is delivered by the software team across a high volume of releases.

Your experience will help guide modern quality‑centric practices across the cross‑functional team, and utilise AI to help solve emerging challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build out automation frameworks and test suite that reduce the manual testing burden and support an increase in velocity of software releases.
  • Champion a test automation strategy across the team, defining standards, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Evaluate and introduce AI‑powered testing tools, run proof‑of‑concepts and document outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain the manual regression test suite to be executed for each product.
  • Provide expertise in testing technology, tooling and processes with proactive implementation.
  • Assure that all developed solutions deliver the functional and non‑functional acceptance criteria expected by our customers.
  • Assure that product releases are of high quality and act as the approval authority for deployment.
  • Support the product owner in the elaboration of requirements and help write acceptance criteria that are executable by the developers.
  • Communicate with customers to understand their issues, judge the severity of the problem and document the expected resolution.
  • Collaborate with developers to identify and replicate software defects as early as possible.
Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance roles, manual and automated, across different organisations.
  • A history of implementing automation testing frameworks from the ground up (e.g. Appium, Playwright).
  • Skilled in an appropriate programming language for writing automation tests, preferably TypeScript or C#.
  • CI/CD integration experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar).
  • Proficient with API testing tools such as Postman, RestSharp, or similar; experience validating RESTful APIs including authentication and negative test scenarios.
  • Experience with AI‑assisted test tooling (Copilot, Claude, agentic workflows, MCP integrations).
  • Able to define and maintain comprehensive test suites to ensure robust software quality, using test case management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Experience testing front‑end web applications across a range of device types.
  • Experience testing back‑end APIs, database integrations and messaging systems.
  • Experience testing native mobile applications, on physical, emulated/simulated and cloud‑based devices (LambdaTest/Testmu AI, Browserstack or similar).
  • An understanding of the core differences between testing a mobile app vs. a web app.
  • Able to triage, repeat and identify software issues, make judgment on the impact and risk, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of Git for source control.

AI fluency & learning mindset: We are looking for people who actively use AI in their day‑to‑day work, demonstrate strong curiosity about new technologies, and take ownership for continuously improving how they think, work, and deliver.

We embrace smarter working practices which offer our employees the opportunity to work their hours flexibly and remotely where their roles and business needs allow. In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from the Liverpool office, 9 am to 5 pm with 30 minutes for lunch.
