Job summary

Sega's Creative Assembly studio seeks a Sr QA Coordinator to lead two remote QA teams—Development QA and Functional QA—driving quality, mentoring staff, and coordinating with internal and external teams across the development lifecycle. You will shape KPIs, oversee defect processes, and advance testing strategies while ensuring seamless communication and delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in directly managing and mentoring remote teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to relay information effectively.
• Previous leadership role within the game industry, especially QA.
• Knowledge of quality assistance, push left, development QA practices.
• Familiarity with game production practices and methodologies.
• Ability to manage interpersonal issues and KPI frameworks.
• Proactive process innovation within the game industry.
• Strong time management and organisational skills to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the QA manager in creating, maintaining and recording team KPI’s.
• Monitoring the issue database and Teams channels for quality in defect reports and improving communication.
• Ensuring teams support their assigned needs.
• Holding regular 1:1s with the Dev QA team.
• Leading team meetings, retrospectives and planning sessions.
• Overseeing test case database creation and maintenance.
• Quality control of defect reports and the bug database.
• Coordinating with external teams and internal QA to ensure cohesion.
• Reporting on team progress and performance for management.
• Gaining in-depth knowledge of core features from development to post-launch support.
• Mentoring staff to achieve career goals and lead by example.
