Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a QA Test Engineer to develop and execute automated and performance testing to support high-quality software products and services. You will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Operations and other stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and quality standards are achieved.

You will work with QA staff, project managers and engineers to plan testing, execute tests, and report findings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Quality Engineering or software testing.
• Strong hands-on test automation experience.
• Proven experience testing backend services.
• Solid API and integration testing experience, automated where possible.
• Experience in end-to-end automated testing design.
• Comfort with learning Java; familiarity with Python/JS/TypeScript/C# is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated and performance tests for projects to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering and Operations to plan testing for product releases.
• Plan and execute automated and performance tests with QA team and SMEs.
• Document issues, identify root causes, and report results.
• Research and pilot tools to enhance testing capabilities and product quality.
• Investigate performance issues with architects and engineers.
